Ranchi, May 23 (HS). Voting is to be held on May 25 in Ranchi Lok Sabha constituency. To ensure peaceful voting, the police took out a flag march at different places in Ranchi on Thursday. On the instructions of SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, City SP Rajkumar Mehta took out a flag march from Albert Ekka Chowk to Lower Bazaar and other areas. Apart from this, under the leadership of Kotwali DSP Prakash Soye, flag marches were taken out in many areas including Mohajid Nagar, Nizam Nagar, sensitive areas of the capital.
City SP said that during the flag march, an appeal was made to the common people to vote without any fear. He said that Ranchi Police is fully prepared to ensure that voters in Ranchi can cast their vote fearlessly on May 25. On Thursday, flag march was conducted by the police of every police station area of the capital. He said that often during elections, rumors or insensitive things are promoted in the society, to stop which flag marches are being conducted by police teams of different police station areas.
On the other hand, the district police has made strong security arrangements for the voting. Apart from the district police, paramilitary forces, CRPF, JAP, IRB and other forces have also been deployed for the voting. Many instructions have been given to all the officials to ensure that there is no disturbance during the voting. Instructions have been given to keep the booths in every police station area completely safe.
Special security arrangements have been made in the extremism affected areas of Ranchi district. Special forces have also been deployed in these areas. Along with this, instructions have been given for continuous police patrolling. The police is also making people aware about voting. Paramilitary forces have also been deployed in these areas. Apart from this, district police and reserve battalion have also been deployed at different places. Along with all the police forces, officials have also been put on duty.
