East Champaran, 19 July (Hindustan Reporter). Motihari Police has taken major action before the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections. Police has seized 94 lakh Indian and Nepali rupees while raiding the house of Dhruv Sah, a sweet and hundi businessman on Naga Road in Raxaul city adjacent to India-Nepal. Besides, a note counting machine has also been recovered from there. The above action has been taken on the instructions of SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra after receiving secret information.
In this case, two people have been detained and investigation is going on. However, during initial interrogation, these people have not yet provided any concrete evidence of such a huge amount. Confirming the recovery of cash, SP Kantesh Kumar Mishra said that during the raid, a total cash amount of 34,34,500 Indian Rupees and 60,18,000 Nepali Rupees 94.52 lakhs was recovered. Information about this matter has been given to the Income Tax Department.
He said that the said action is going on under the leadership of Sadar ASP Shikhar Chaudhary. SP said that prima facie this case seems to be related to hawala business. Which is being investigated.
