Sunita Williams was scheduled to go on her third space journey on Tuesday morning. Sunita was scheduled to take off from the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Cornwall, Florida at 8 am aboard Boeing's Starliner spacecraft. But 90 minutes into the spacecraft's flight, scientists noticed a technical fault in the spacecraft's oxygen valve. Therefore the flight was stopped. Along with Sunita Williams, NASA scientist Barry Wilmore was also to board a Boeing spacecraft bound for the International Space Station.

Sunita Williams has spent a record 322 days in space. She holds the record for most hours of spacewalk by a woman. Williams first flew into space on December 9, 2006, and remained in space until June 22, 2007. Sunita Williams walked in space four times for a record 29 hours and 17 minutes. After this, Sunita Williams went on spacewalk for the second time on 14 July 2012 and remained in space till 18 November 20212. Williams, 59, said she was a little nervous before the flight. But she was also excited about the thrill of flying in space. Williams said the International Space Station is like a second home to him.
