This result has no significance in the league but it is a big blow to their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League. Tottenham are fifth in the league with 18 wins and 10 losses in 34 matches. Its total score is 60 marks. They still have four matches to play in the 20-team league but their path to qualifying for the Champions League has become difficult. Now only four teams of England will get entry in the Champions League instead of five. Tottenham are seven points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa and face tough matches against Liverpool and Manchester City. He can qualify with 72 points by winning all four matches which is almost impossible. On the other hand, Tottenham will have to hope that Aston Villa also lags behind them in their remaining matches. This is Tottenham's second defeat in the last four days. Arsenal is in first place with 80 points.
