DPS bomb threat: This morning, an atmosphere of panic was created in more than 100 schools of Delhi and Noida after receiving news of a bomb. After receiving information about the bomb, the fire brigade was immediately called where vehicles of fire brigade, Delhi Police and bomb disposal squad reached the spot. All the schools were searched. Nothing was found. Keeping safety in mind, school children have been sent home. Home Ministry and Delhi Police have termed this call as fake.
The Home Ministry said that there is no need to panic. It looks like this is a fake call. Delhi Police and security agencies are taking necessary steps as per protocol. On the other hand, Delhi Police said that some schools in Delhi have received bomb threats through emails. Delhi Police has checked those schools which are following the protocol. Nothing destructive was found. It seems that these calls are fake. We request the public not to panic.
According to the information, threatening emails were sent to about 100 schools including Delhi-NCR. A single email was sent to each location. Police and fire brigade received bomb calls from more than 60 schools in Delhi. Whereas in Noida and Greater Noida this number was around 40. No suspicious object has been found anywhere yet. Investigation has been completed at most of the sites. In many places SOPs are still being followed. The IP address of the email sender has not yet been identified.
The first information came from DPS School in Dwarka, Delhi, where the news of the bomb was received. After this the school management immediately informed the police and sent the children home. Meanwhile, the bomb disposal squad has reached the spot along with security personnel. The search for the school continues. At the same time, the matter is of Mother Mary School located in Mayur Vihar, East Delhi. The children have been sent back from here.
After Delhi, bomb threat has also been received in Noida DPS, after which all DPS schools have been declared closed. For this, a message was sent by the Principal to the parents of all the children, in which the news of school holiday was given. Police force has been deployed in all DPIS schools of Noida and intensive checking of schools is being done.
Principal office issued message
A message has been issued from the Principal Office to the parents of the students in which it is written that the school is being closed due to emergency. In this message, information has also been given about receiving emails related to the safety of students. It is written in the message that the children are being sent back due to security reasons. Children have been sent back to all those schools where bomb related information has been received. Police forces have been sent to all places. The case is being investigated.
Threats received through email
Let us tell you that these schools have also received email threats on the same pattern. Delhi Police has issued a statement asking parents and guardians of children not to worry. Delhi Police has said that efforts are being made to find out the IP address of the threatening e-mail. According to the police, no suspicious object has been found so far. Police said that this could also be a conspiracy by mischievous elements to spread terror.
