Voting for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections is going to be held on 7th May. Voting is to be held in a total of 7 phases. Voting was held in two phases on 19 April and 26 April. Four days after the second phase of voting, the Election Commission has announced the exact figures of voting for both the phases.
How much voting took place in both the phases?
An increase in voting percentage has been seen in the data given by the Election Commission. There was 66.14 percent voting in the first phase of Lok Sabha elections and 66.71 percent voting in the second phase. The Commission said that in the first phase of voting, 66.22 percent male and 66.07 percent female voters voted on 102 seats. While 66.99 percent male voters and 66.42 percent female voters voted for 88 seats in the second phase, however, 69.64 percent voting took place in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections held in 2019.
What was the first figure?
Data shared after the first phase of voting for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 showed that a total of 60.03 percent voting took place. According to the information given by the Commission, according to the preliminary data of the second phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024, about 61 percent (60.96 percent) voting took place. However, the figure was expected to increase till the last update from all centres.
When is the election now?
Under the Lok Sabha elections 2024, the first phase of elections was held on 19 April (102 seats) and the second phase of elections was held on 26 April (88 seats). Now the third phase of elections will be held on 7 May 2024. Voting will take place on a total of 94 seats in the third phase. The election results of all these seats will be declared simultaneously by the Commission on June 4.
