These days, in view of the heat, health experts are advising people to drink more water. When it comes to drinking more water, many experts say that the average person should drink 2 to 2.5 liters of water per day. In summer, a large amount of sweat comes out from the body in the form of sweat. In such a situation, the amount of water consumption should be increased. Doctors of Harvard Medical School (Harvard University) have given their opinion regarding the quantity of drinking water.
Harvard Health (Harvard Medical School) says that an average person should drink 4 liters of water per day. Whereas a normal woman should drink 3 liters of water a day. However, it also has some conditions. Drinking 3 or 4 liters of water a day does not mean that you should only drink that much water. If you drink seasonal fruits, vegetables, juice, tea-coffee etc. which have high water content, then that water will also be counted in the total water intake. This means that if you consume more of these things then you can also reduce the amount of plain water. But in any case, the amount of water drunk daily should not be less than 2 liters.
Harvard health experts say that drinking water not only quenches thirst but also keeps the body fit. Apart from this, drinking right amount of water keeps the body hydrated. That means there is no shortage of water in the body. When there is no shortage of water in the body, the body remains full of energy.
Children need to pay more attention to drinking water. Experts say that if the child is less than 6 months of age then he should not be given water. Mother's milk is the only nutritious food for him. Mother's milk contains 80% water and 20% nutrients which are essential for the development of the child. After 6 months, start feeding the child 1-1 teaspoon of plain and pure water 2 to 3 times a day. It would be better if you consult a doctor as to how much water should be given to the child.
