New world epidemic can spread from this cave, scientists give scary warning

Kenya's Bloody Cave: Kitam Cave, located in Kenya's Mount Along National Park, has suddenly come into the limelight. Because, this cave is considered to be the most deadly cave in the world. Dangerous viruses like Ebola and Marburg have been found in this cave. Experts now worry that the Marburg virus could cause a new pandemic in the world. The World Health Organization has issued a warning regarding this.

Marburg is a disease that causes bleeding and physical function problems. This could prove fatal. The mortality rate is 88 percent.

How does the virus spread?
, Not only this, it can also spread by touching things like handkerchief used by them. Additionally, fruit bats, commonly found in Africa, can also spread the virus from one place to another. This may make it easier for the virus to spread.

effects of marburg virus
The virus usually remains dormant for at least three weeks before symptoms appear in patients. However, the initial symptoms are always similar to those of malaria and Ebola. Initially it may cause bleeding from various parts of the body like eyes, nose, ears, jaw. There has been no criticism against Viral yet. So doctors are focusing on treating the symptoms along with medicines and fluids.

In 1980, a French engineer accidentally came in contact with Marburg while exploring the Kitam Cave. He died despite emergency treatment at a hospital in Nairobi.

The discovery of important salt minerals inside the cave has attracted not only the Hotis, but also animals such as buffalo, deer, leopard from western Kenya.

According to researchers, this has made Kitam Cave a hotspot for diseases, which can spread from animals to humans. Which can be known as zoonotic infection. According to the report of Science Times, the cave is 600 feet deep. It is being continuously dug and deepened by elephants. Due to which bats which spread unknown diseases have found a new home.
