New Delhi, 22 April (HS). As part of the cleanliness fortnight being celebrated at the Sahitya Akademi, eminent litterateur Ashok Love presented a lecture on the topic “Concept of cleanliness in literature” on Monday. At the beginning of this lecture held in the conference room located on the third floor, Ashok Luv was welcomed by the Akademi's Deputy Secretary Administration, Krishna Kimbahune by presenting him the publications of Ang Vastram and Sahitya Akademi.
Based on his writings and memories of his contacts with various litterateurs, litterateur Ashok Luv said in his statement that every litterateur has some responsibilities towards the society, which he should follow with full alertness. In this, it is his biggest responsibility to maintain the cleanliness of moral conduct of the society. It is only because of the presentation of moral cleanliness that a work can be read by the entire family. Sahitya Akademi is an institution that imparts such values. The main aim of the writer should be to portray the cleanliness of the character. He said that the literature of those writers is immortal who presented the reality in such a way that every reader can read it without any hesitation.
Before this, Sahitya Akademi Secretary K. Cleanliness oath was administered to all the employees of the office by Srinivasrao.
