On Monday, on the complaint of the victim, a case has been registered against an unknown person under various sections including fraud and investigation has been started.
Narwana resident Karambir told in his complaint to the police that his distant relative lives abroad. On December 29, a call came on his phone. Who took the name of a relative living abroad and told that he needed Rs 5 lakh for the treatment of a specialist. It was also said that the amount would be returned soon. On which he deposited an amount of Rs 5 lakh in the accounts given by the accused. Later, when he asked his relative living abroad, he came to know about the fraud. Jagdeep, investigating officer of cyber police station, said that on the complaint of Karambir, the police have registered a case of fraud against an unknown person and started investigation.
