The controversial Foreign Agents Bill was introduced in Parliament for approval. Also, people are very angry about this bill. There is also a movement going on against it in the country. Despite this, the Government of Georgia presented this bill in the Parliament. Opposition MP Aleko Eliashvili rose from his seat and punched Mamuka in the face while ruling party leader Mamuka Medinaradze was giving a speech on the bill. Seeing this, the ruling party MPs ran and saved Mamuka. After this, the MPs supported by Mamuka washed away Aleko. The people of the country have seen the scenes of punches made by the MPs.
The government had earlier tried to get the Foreign Agents Bill passed by Parliament. Even at that time, the government had put this bill on hold due to strong opposition. Many people believe that this bill is in favor of Russia and because of it Georgia's relations with the EU and America may deteriorate. Due to this, there is widespread anger against this bill in the country.
