Champawat, 12 April (HS). The Lok Sabha election campaign in Uttarakhand is at its final stage. Star campaigners of BJP are holding public meetings. In the same sequence, today Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh addressed an election rally at Ramlila Maidan in Lohaghat in support of BJP candidate Ajay Tamta from Almora Pithoragarh Parliamentary Lok Sabha seat.
In his address, the Defense Minister fiercely targeted Congress. He said that Congress has reached the verge of extinction like dinosaurs. Congress does not have any issues, hence it is blaming BJP in various ways. He said that Uttarakhand is a military dominated area. Prime Minister implemented One Rank One Pension Scheme for military brothers. India has today become the fifth superpower of the world. Congress party demands proof of surgical and air strikes. He does not trust the army.
He said that Congress accuses BJP that BJP does politics of Hindu-Muslim but BJP does not do politics of Hindu-Muslim but politics of justice and humanity. The Prime Minister has now given 33 percent reservation to women in Parliament also. Many public welfare schemes are being run in the country by the Prime Minister, whose benefits are being availed by crores of poor people of the country. He said that Congress considered the border villages of Uttarakhand as the last region of the country but after the BJP government came to power, Prime Minister Modi considered those areas not as the last but the first region. Border areas were connected by road and mobile connectivity. Along with the country, the army has also become stronger under the BJP rule.
Praising Lok Sabha candidate Ajay Tamta, Rajnath Singh said that Ajay Tamta is a very calm and simple person. He has deep penetration among the public. He appealed to all the people of the area to make him win with a huge majority. He appealed to the people to press the lotus flower button on April 19 for the strength and development of the country. Make Ajay Tamta MP for the third consecutive time. He said that BJP government is going to be formed for the third consecutive time in 2024, which will be led by the country's Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On this occasion, former Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Vijay Bahuguna regional MP Ajay Tamta and local BJP leaders were also present.
