Bihar Board 12th Dummy Admit Card 2027 Subject Correction: Complete process of correction in Arts, Science and Commerce subjects.

The main purpose of issuing dummy admit card by Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) for the students appearing in the Intermediate Annual Examination 2027 is to verify the details entered in the examination form and registration. As per the official guidelines of the board, the dummy admit card is not a final admit card but provides an opportunity to the candidates to check their personal and academic details—especially name, parents’ name, date of birth, gender, caste, photograph, signature and subjects. The most important part in the intermediate examination is the subjects selected by the student. Many times, due to human error at the online operator or school level while filling the form, an error is recorded in the Compulsory, Elective or Additional/Elective 6th subject of Arts, Science or Commerce Faculty. If this mistake in the dummy admit card is not rectified in time, then the same wrong subjects will be printed in the main admit card and mark sheet, which can cause serious problems in getting the question paper at the center on the day of examination. Arts, Science and Commerce: According to the faculty, in which subjects can a mistake occur? The inter examination system prescribes main subjects of total 500 marks and one additional subject of 100 marks for all three faculties. After downloading the dummy admit card, students must match the following subjects as per their faculty: Compulsory Language Subjects (Total 200 marks): Language 1 (Language 1 – 100 marks): Normally Hindi or English. Language 2 (100 marks): Any language other than the first language (e.g. English, Hindi, Urdu, Maithili, Sanskrit etc.). Common mistake: The student has chosen Hindi as the first language and English as the second language, but the same language or some other regional language is entered in both the places in the dummy card. Elective Subjects (total 300 marks): Science (Faculty of Science): Physics and Chemistry are compulsory, while the third subject can be Mathematics or Biology. Many times students want to keep Biology as their main subject, but Mathematics becomes their main subject. Commerce: Business Studies and Accountancy are the core subjects, while a third subject may require a change to Economics or Entrepreneurship. Arts: Any three subjects like History, Political Science, Geography, Economics, Psychology, Sociology or Home Science are selected. Here the possibility of entering wrong subject code is highest. Additional Subject (Additional / 6th Subject – 100 marks): If a student had not chosen additional subject (like Bio or Computer Science with Maths in Science) but is still showing in the card, or had chosen and is missing from the card, immediate correction is required. Complete offline and online process of subject correction in dummy admit card: According to the rules of Bihar Board, only the students can download the dummy admit card themselves, but the direct online right to make corrections in it lies only with the Principal of the concerned school or inter college. Students cannot edit data directly by logging into the portal at individual level. The step-by-step process for making corrections is as follows: Take a printout of the dummy admit card: First of all, download your dummy admit card from the official website of the board (seniorsecondary.biharboardonline.com) and get two clear photocopies (printouts) of it. Mark the wrong subject with pen: On the dummy admit card where the list of subjects is printed, strike out (strike) the name of the wrong subject with a red or black pen and write the name of the correct subject and its official subject code in clear letters just in front or above it. Write a formal application to the Principal: Write a formal application on a plain paper to the Principal of your school or college. In this, clearly mention your name, roll code, registration number, faculty (Arts/Science/Commerce) and which subject is to be replaced in place of which subject. Sign and submit to the office: Attach a copy of the marked dummy admit card along with the application form. Get it signed by you and your guardian. Submit this document to the school office or examination in-charge and take receipt (acknowledgment seal and signature) on the second copy. Online updation on the board portal from school level: School heads will login to the Secondary/Senior Secondary portal of Bihar Board through their official user ID and password. There, by going to the ‘Student Correction’ section and entering the student’s registration number, the incorrect subject will be removed and the correct subject code will be updated online. Keep these important rules and limitations in mind while making corrections Stream/Faculty change not allowed: Correction is possible only in subjects within the faculty at the dummy admit card stage. If a student wants to change the entire stream from Science to Arts or Commerce, change of stream is generally not allowed after the end of the registration period as per the Board rules. Correction Window: A limited time frame (usually 7 to 10 days) is fixed by the board for dummy admit card correction. After the prescribed last date, the portal closes and even the school head is not able to make any changes. 2nd and 3rd Dummy Admit Card: After the corrections are recorded in the first phase, the board issues the ‘2nd Dummy Admit Card’ with the revised data. Students should download it again and ensure that the subject given by them has been successfully entered in the correction portal. If there is an error in a student’s subject and he does not get it corrected, he may have to appear in the same wrong subject in the examination, due to which his entire academic year is at risk of being affected. Therefore, as soon as the dummy admit card arrives, contact your school or college without any delay and complete the correction process.
