
51 new proposals under Policy-2023 were considered in the meeting. These include projects related to various value-added food products including frozen fruits and vegetable processing, cattle feed, dehydrated fruits and vegetables, sweets-savouries-bakery and ice cream, frozen ready-to-eat products, potato flakes, soya products, dairy and milk products, pulses and flour processing, edible oil, solar energy based food processing units.
The innovative proposals also include proposals for setting up solar energy based food processing plants by various units including women entrepreneurial groups. These include ready-to-cook food products, flour, spices, pulse mills, rice mills, soya products, breadcrumbs, fruit juices, canned fruits and vegetables and jaggery based units. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya said that by increasing investment in the food processing sector, farmers will get better prices for their produce, there will be value addition to agricultural products and employment opportunities will increase in rural areas. He said that the priority of the state government is to deliver the benefits of the schemes to the eligible people in a transparent and time bound manner.
Personnel honored for excellent work: During the meeting, for their excellent work and effective implementation of food processing schemes, entrepreneur friend Ms. Ishani Srivastava, Bareilly, entrepreneur friend Mrs. Neha Singh, Sitapur and Mr. Anshil Sinha, Junior Assistant, Government Food Processing Centre, Bareilly were honored with citation and memento.
