Pitru Paksha Peepal Ke Patte Upay: Write ‘Shri Ram’ on 21 Peepal leaves, this is the sure shot way to get rid of Pitru Dosh and Saturn’s wrath.

In Sanatan Dharma, the period of 16 days of Pitru Paksha lasting from Bhadrapada Purnima to Sarvapitri Amavasya is considered to be the most auspicious to satisfy the ancestors, ancestors and divine powers. It is mentioned in the scriptures that the Peepal tree is the true form of God, in which reside Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh along with all the thirty-three crore Gods and Goddesses and ancestors. Lord Shri Krishna has also called himself ‘Ashvattha Sarvavrikshanam’ in Srimad Bhagavad Gita i.e. Peepal among trees. It is believed that during Pitru Paksha, the ancestors sit in a subtle form in the branches and leaves of Peepal tree and accept the offerings, water and prayers given by their family members. During this auspicious period, the special ritual performed by writing the name of Lord ‘Shri Ram’ on 21 Peepal leaves is considered very effective in removing Pitra Dosh, planetary obstacles and all the troubles of life.

According to experts in astrology and Tantra Shastra, it is most fruitful to do this remedy on any Tuesday, Saturday, Ekadashi or Sarvapitri Amavasya of Pitru Paksha. The exact and authentic method of doing this remedy is as follows:

  • Selection of leaves: In the morning, after taking bath etc., go near a sacred Peepal tree. Keep in mind that do not forcibly pluck leaves from the tree, rather choose those leaves which have fallen down on their own and are clean. If it is necessary to take from a tree, then with folded hands ask permission from the tree deity. Collect a total of 21 leaves which are not torn or broken anywhere.

  • Purification with holy water: Bring these 21 leaves home and wash them thoroughly with Ganga water or clean water and dry them with a clean cloth.

  • Notation of Ram name: With pure orange vermillion mixed with red sandalwood, Ashtagandha or jasmine oil, write ‘Shri Ram’ on each leaf with a pomegranate pen or ring finger with great devotion.

  • Making Garland: Make a beautiful garland by stringing all these 21 leaves in yellow or red mauli (Kalava) thread.

  • Dedication to Hanumanji: Take this garland to any Siddha Hanuman temple and offer it at the feet of Sankatmochan Hanuman ji or around his neck. After this, sit there and recite ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ or ‘Ram Raksha Stotra’ 11 times and pray for the peace of the souls of your ancestors and freedom from your troubles.

According to religious beliefs, Hanuman ji is Ashtachiranjivi and Jagrata deity in Kaliyuga. When a seeker writes the name of his beloved Lord ‘Shri Ram’ on Peepal leaves and offers it to him, Veer Bajrangi becomes extremely happy. By taking refuge in Lord Hanuman, Pitra Dosh, ghostly obstacles, unknown fear and negative energies are destroyed immediately. If the soul of any ancestor of the family is dissatisfied and is giving trouble to the family members, then by the grace of Hanuman ji the ancestors attain salvation and after blessing their descendants, they return to the ancestral world.

In astrology, Shani Dev is considered to be the giver of karma and the god of justice, and getting relief from his suffering is directly related to the Peepal tree and the name of Lord Rama. According to the legend, only Mahavir Hanuman ji freed Shani Dev from the bondage of Ravana in Lanka. At that time, Shani Dev had promised Sankatmochan that whoever worships Hanuman ji or remembers the name of Ram, will never have to face the evil eye of Shani. Apart from this, offering raw milk and water to the root of Peepal tree on Saturday and lighting a mustard oil lamp in the evening calms down the inauspicious effects of Saturn’s Sadesati, Dhaiya, Mahadasha and Markesh.

By doing this divine remedy of 21 Peepal leaves with full devotion and sattvikta during Pitru Paksha, the following positive changes are seen in life:

  • Complete freedom from Pitra Dosh: Pitra Dosh in the horoscope gets erased, which brings happiness and peace in the house and harmony among the family members.
