Storm, storm and winds at speed of 80km: IMD issued rain alert in 20 states including Delhi, UP, Bihar


The news of relief is finally coming for the people who are facing record breaking heat and wave in many parts of the country. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has indicated a very big and important change in the weather of the country. The Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for 20 states and union territories of the country including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. The weather pattern in these areas is expected to change completely within the next 15 hours. Along with the rain, officials have also issued warnings of thunderstorms and destructive winds with speeds up to 80 kilometers per hour, advising people to remain alert.

Weather patterns changed in North-West India, fear of hailstorm in the mountains

The weather is changing rapidly in the plains as well as in the hilly states. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of torrential rains in the hilly areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Uttarakhand between June 21 and 22. Along with this, there is also an alert of hailstorm in some areas of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh.

Talking about the plains, there is a possibility of sporadic or moderate rain with thunderstorms in some parts of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan between June 21 and 26, which will cause a sharp drop in the temperature.

Thunderstorm alert in UP, Bihar and Rajasthan, strong winds are going to blow

The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in many major districts of Uttar Pradesh, such as Noida, Meerut, Agra, Mathura, Kanpur, Varanasi and Prayagraj. At the same time, the crisis of storm and water is also looming in the neighboring state of Bihar. There is a possibility of heavy rain with strong winds reaching speed up to 65 kilometers per hour in many districts including Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur.

Cities like Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Ajmer and Alwar of the desert state Rajasthan will also have bad weather. Dust storm and storm with a speed of 55 kilometers per hour has been predicted here.

Condition of Central and South India: Clouds will rain continuously in many states

Monsoon activity has also intensified in the states of Central India. Between June 21 and 26, good showers are expected in the areas of Chhattisgarh, Eastern and Western Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. People will get great relief from the humid heat as the maximum temperature in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, will be around 34°C.

At the same time, in South India, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep and Coastal Karnataka throughout the week. Monsoon will be largely active over parts of Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Dangerous storm with strong winds is also expected in the areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseema.

Disaster rain in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Assam, advice to tourists

People visiting tourist places are going to be cautious in the next few days. Heavy rain and storm with winds reaching speeds of up to 60 kmph are expected in hilly areas of Uttarakhand like Dehradun, Rishikesh, Haridwar and Nainital. Rain is expected to start in Manali in Himachal Pradesh, while Shimla, Kullu, Solan and Kangra may see heavy rain and thunderstorm with winds reaching 70 km per hour till June 24.

Apart from this, there is a possibility of lightning and torrential rain in Guwahati and adjoining districts of the northeastern state of Assam in the next 2-3 days, which may worsen the situation in western parts of Assam. In the south, there is a warning of heavy rain in Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Kanyakumari and Salem in Tamil Nadu, while light to moderate rain may be recorded in Chennai.
