To make the country’s biggest and prestigious medical entrance examination ‘NEET’ completely transparent, secure and leak-proof, the Central Government and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have prepared the biggest and historic security plan so far. Keeping in mind the future of crores of students of the country and the credibility of the examination, this time an unprecedented ‘security lockdown’ has been implemented to deliver the question papers to the examination centres. The responsibility of delivering the papers without any glitch to thousands of centers spread across 551 cities of India has been entrusted to the most trusted security agencies of the country. In this grand mission, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as well as Indian Air Force have also been included, which has made this entire operation as sensitive as a military mission.
Question papers will be flown by air, help of special Air Force planes is being taken.
This time, the help of special planes and helicopters of the Indian Air Force is being taken to deliver the NEET exam papers to the remote and sensitive areas of the country on time and with complete security. Secure air routes of the Air Force are being used to transfer the papers from the main printing press to the custodian banks and strong rooms. Its biggest advantage is that any possible danger or wastage of time on the road can be completely avoided. Immediately after landing at the airports, the boxes of papers are taken directly into the tight security cordon, due to which even the bird cannot reach there.
CISF and CRPF commandos will handle the ground front, strong rooms will become impenetrable forts.
Armed personnel of CISF and CRPF have been deployed to protect the question papers on the ground and ensure complete security of their movement. In every city, in the selected banks and government treasuries where ‘strong rooms’ have been made, a three-layer security command is working round the clock. Live monitoring is being done in these strong rooms through CCTV cameras, the direct control room of which has been set up in Delhi. On the day of the examination, vehicles carrying papers from banks to the examination centers will be accompanied by special escort teams of CRPF commandos who will ensure that no one stops or touches the vehicle on the way.
The boxes are equipped with digital lock and GPS tracking, this is how high-tech technology will work.
Along with strict security by the security forces, modern technology is also being used extensively this time. The special trucks and boxes in which all the question papers are kept are equipped with high-tech digital locks and real-time GPS tracking systems. These boxes cannot be opened before a certain time and without an authorized digital key (OTP based system). If any vehicle deviates even slightly from its scheduled route or any attempt is made to tamper with the box, an automatic alarm will immediately sound in the main control room and the entire security team will become active. Seeing this leak-proof and impenetrable security loop, experts believe that this time the NEET exam will be conducted in a completely fair environment without any controversy.
