Large parts of North India are facing severe heat and heatwave for the last several days. The mercury has reached record levels in UP, Bihar, Delhi and surrounding states, due to which life is badly affected. However, a relief news has come from the Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather pattern is going to change completely within the next 48 hours.
When will we get relief from heatwave?
According to the Meteorological Department, the heat wave will continue in the states of North and Central India for the next two days, but there will be a big improvement in the situation from May 29. There will be a drop in maximum temperature, which will provide great relief to people from the scorching heat.
Relief is coming soon for Uttar Pradesh, where the change in weather will start from tomorrow (May 28). An alert of rain, storm and hailstorm has been issued in western Uttar Pradesh from 28 to 31 May.
Detailed weather forecast of different areas
1. North India (Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana)

Rain and storm: There will be light to moderate rain in Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand between May 27 and 30. The weather will be bad in Himachal Pradesh on 28-29 May.

Delhi-NCR: There is a possibility of thunderstorm and lightning in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh on May 29. There may be rain with strong winds here on May 30 also.

Hail: Hailstorm warning has been issued in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi on 28 and 29 May.
2. Uttar Pradesh (UP)

Western UP: There is an alert of storm, lightning and hail from 28 to 31 May. There is also a possibility of heavy rain here on May 29.

Eastern UP: There is a possibility of light to moderate rain and thunderstorm from 27 to 31 May. There may be heavy rain on May 29.
3. Eastern and North-Eastern India

Northeast: There will be rain with strong winds in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on 27-28 May. There are chances of rain in Assam and Meghalaya also on 27, 28 May and 2 June.

Other states: There is a possibility of moderate rain and strong winds in Bihar, Odisha between May 27-31 and Jharkhand between May 27 and June 1. Rain will continue in Andaman and Nicobar from May 27 to June 2.
4. South India

Heavy rain: There is an alert of scattered to heavy rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe between May 27 and June 2. There is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Telangana between May 27 and 31.
