The weather is set to change in the next 36 hours! Scorching North India will receive significant relief from the scorching heat. Weather patterns will suddenly change in the next 36 hours! North India will get relief from scorching heat amid delay in monsoon

At present, the entire North and Central India is in the grip of direct heat of the sun and deadly heatwave. Everyone is eagerly looking towards the sky, waiting for the monsoon. However, the Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted that this time the monsoon may hit the Kerala coast a little early i.e. on May 26, but this did not happen. The Meteorological Department had already made it clear in its forecast that there is always a possibility of being ahead or behind by 4 days in the entry of monsoon (margin of error).

Mahesh Palawat, meteorologist of private weather agency Skymet, has said that the monsoon is progressing on its normal course and there is no need to worry. Meanwhile, the biggest thing of relief is that an active Western Disturbance has currently reached over Ladakh. At the same time, another powerful western disturbance is going to hit the hilly areas on May 28, whose direct impact will be seen in the plain states of North and Eastern India. Apart from this, a cyclonic circulation has formed in the atmosphere of Bihar and Assam, which will play a big role in changing the weather trend.

Pakistan’s 49 degree ‘dry air’ made India a furnace

At present many parts of the country are suffering from severe heat. Banda in Uttar Pradesh and Brahmapuri area in Vidarbha currently remain the hottest areas in the country with a temperature of 47.6°C. Along with this, the temperature in Khajuraho has also crossed 47°C. In more than a dozen big cities of the country, the temperature remains around 46°C, making it difficult to leave the house during the day.

According to meteorologists, neighboring country Pakistan has a big role in this heat scorching India. In fact, on May 26, the mercury had reached a record 49°C in Pakistan. Due to the extremely hot and dry winds coming from the desert and plains there, the areas of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi-NCR of India are currently facing the brunt of severe heatwave. This situation will remain the same on May 27, but there is going to be a big and sudden change in the weather in the next 36 hours.

Amidst the hue and cry all around, why is there no heatwave in Gujarat?

When the entire North India, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan are burning with scorching heat, then it is natural for people to ask the question that why is there relatively less heat in Gujarat? Why is Gujarat in a lot of relief at this time compared to Delhi-Haryana?

The main reason for this is the continuous sea winds coming from the South-Western Arabian Sea. These winds bring with them moisture and coolness, due to which the plains of Gujarat are getting great relief from the scorching heat. However, weather experts say that this relief is very temporary and the mercury may rise rapidly in Gujarat as soon as the wind direction changes in the coming days.

Know now where and when will it rain?

According to Skymet expert Mahesh Palawat, there will be bright sunshine in the plains of North India for the next two days and there is no major possibility of rain. However, due to the effect of local cyclonic circulation, light showers with thunderstorms may occur over northern parts of Rajasthan and some districts of Bihar like Araria, Bhagalpur, Katihar and Madhubani. On the other hand, pre-monsoon activities are quite intense in North-East India, due to which areas like Agartala, Cherrapunji, Silchar, Cooch Behar, Jalpaiguri, Purnia and Shillong have recorded good rainfall.
