A case has come to light from the capital Patna which will surprise anyone. A horrific incident of deception, coercion and fatal attack has happened on a girl who had come away from home to study and fulfill her dreams. The police, showing promptness in this matter, have arrested the accused and have started taking further action.
We met in the hospital, then grew closer
The matter is related to the prestigious hospital IGIMS (Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences) of Patna. Accused Manish Yadav is originally from Madhepura and was working as a data operator in the surgical ward of IGIMS. The victim girl was identified with Manish in October 2025 while working in the hospital. Gradually the conversation between the two started increasing and Manish trapped the girl in his web of love. It is alleged that Manish had physical relations with the girl several times after making a firm promise of marriage.
The victim was living in a hostel to fulfill her dreams.
After some time, the girl left the job at IGIMS due to difficulties in her studies. She shifted to a hostel located on Nala Road, Patna and started preparing for SSC (Staff Selection Commission) while staying there. Along with this, she was also doing a part-time job in a private nursing home to meet her expenses. During this time, she kept asking Manish to take forward the matter of her marriage, but Manish used to postpone the matter every time.
A deadly attack was carried out after calling a room in Machli Gali.
On May 20, Manish called the girl to his rented room located at Machli Gali in Shastri Nagar police station area on the pretext of talking. When the girl reached there, Manish’s intentions changed. He tried to force himself on the girl there. When the girl strongly opposed this and again raised the issue of her marriage, Manish lost his temper. He snatched the girl’s mobile, purse and clothes so that she could not run away. After this, he got angry and attacked the girl with a knife kept in the room, due to which she bled to death.
People ran after hearing screams, police caught the accused
Hearing the screams of the girl coming from inside the room, the landlord, mistress and other tenants of the hostel immediately reached the spot. Seeing the people coming, the accused Manish retreated, due to which the life of the girl was saved. In injured condition the girl was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment. On May 21, the victim recorded her full statement before the police from the hospital itself. Shastri Nagar police station took the matter very seriously and took immediate action and put the accused data operator Manish Yadav behind the bars.
