While addressing the ‘Bihar AI Summit-2026’ organized on Saturday at the Energy Stadium in Patna, the capital of Bihar, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has made several historic announcements regarding the development and education system of the state. In his very aggressive and visionary address, the Chief Minister laid emphasis on completely strengthening the poor education system of Bihar. During this, he resolved to take the quality of government schools to such a level that a big message would be sent to the society. While mentioning his real objective in blunt words, the Chief Minister said something which is now being discussed rapidly in the political and administrative circles of the entire country.

‘Only then will my purpose be fulfilled’: CM’s tough stance on government schools

Addressing the summit, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary made a big announcement of opening state-of-the-art model schools in all 534 blocks of Bihar. Under this, 10 model schools will be established in the capital Patna, 5 each in all municipal corporation cities and 3 each in all other districts. He also announced that new degree colleges will be opened in 211 blocks of the state in the coming month of July. Sharing this scheme, the CM said, ‘Our wish is that the children of state ministers and senior government officials should also study in these schools. Only when our ministers and officials yearn to get their children admitted in these government model schools will our real objective be accomplished. Along with this, he also talked about establishing special universities for Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and Architects in Bihar in future.

E-Library and Smart Class: What will be special in these model schools?

Keeping in mind the bright future of the students of Bihar, the Samrat Chaudhary government is rapidly upgrading one higher secondary school in each block as a model school. As per the roadmap prepared by the government, these schools will have the following world-class facilities:

  • Digital studies: All schools will have the facility of state-of-the-art smart classrooms and e-library.

  • Modern Infrastructure: Modern laboratories and advanced sports facilities are being developed for the students.

  • Preparation for competitive exams: Students will be given quality guidance by experienced teachers and subject experts, so that they can strengthen their initial preparation for tough competitive examinations like Medical, Engineering (JEE/NEET) and Olympiads right from the school level.

New ‘AI Policy’ will be implemented soon in Bihar

Making an emotional appeal to the migrant Biharis to contribute to the development and industrial revolution of the state, CM Samrat Chaudhary said that the government is working round the clock to create new employment opportunities for the youth. He announced that the state government is going to bring its own ‘AI Policy’ very soon to make Bihar the leading Artificial Intelligence (AI) hub of the country. The Chief Minister said that the communication revolution that has taken place in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, AI will become the strongest basis of that change. Today about 120 crore people of India are using mobile phones, which shows the power of this digital transformation.

Patna’s ‘Marine Drive’ will be 125 KM long at a cost of Rs 19 thousand crores.

Giving a big gift to Bihar on the infrastructure front, Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said that the government will completely complete the ‘Ganga Expressway Scheme’ within the next three years. Under this, Patna’s famous Marine Drive, which is currently only 21 kilometers long, will be expanded tremendously. After the expansion, an excellent road network will be constructed along the banks of river Ganga in a total stretch of 125 kilometers. A huge amount of Rs 19,000 crore will be spent on this ambitious mega project and it will be operated in Public-Private Partnership i.e. PPP mode, which will make connectivity between North and South Bihar very easy.
