This decision of the oil companies has provided a big temporary relief to crores of families and housewives of the country in this era of inflation.

Difficulties increased due to tension on the Strait of Hormuz
This bold decision to stabilize prices on the domestic front has been taken at a time when the international energy market is going through a period of complete volatility. Center for Global Diplomacy Strait of Hormuz International LPG and crude oil prices have seen huge fluctuations in the last few weeks due to growing military concerns over the movement of ships on the main shipping routes of India. Since this sea route is one of the main arteries of fuel supply around the world, any movement here directly increases global input costs.
Government oil companies themselves are facing losses
According to a recent report by the international news agency Reuters, due to the rise in international wholesale prices of LPG and the huge increase in the cost of sea freight, the government oil company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is facing huge financial losses on the sale of domestic LPG.
Market analysts believe that since domestic LPG prices in India are directly linked to the budget and politics of the common man, the central government is currently trying its best to strike a balance between subsidies and rising costs instead of putting the additional burden of inflation on the common public. This is the reason why government oil companies themselves are bearing a large part of the losses even in this period of global crisis and are not allowing prices to rise.
Experts have warned that although the people of India are currently getting temporary protection from this crisis, but if this ongoing military tension in West Asia continues like this for a long time and the price of crude oil continues to remain above $ 100 per barrel in the international market, then it will be very difficult for the oil companies to maintain these prices for much longer in the coming months.
