He has filed an important petition in the court against the fraud which is spreading rapidly on the internet. Considering the seriousness of this sensitive matter, the Delhi High Court has fixed today i.e. Thursday (21 May 2026) for its hearing, where a single bench of Justice Subramaniam Prasad will consider it.

Demand to stop conspiracies being hatched with the help of deepfakes and AI

In this petition filed by MP Raghav Chadha, the issue of ‘Deepfake’ and Artificial Intelligence (AI) based fake content, which is flooding social media and various internet platforms these days, has been raised very prominently. It has been said in the petition that by using AI and modern tools, fake videos and photographs are being created by changing the face and voice of any person. Raghav Chadha has appealed to the court to immediately make strict and concrete legal rules to curb such AI-based fake content that affects the image of common citizens and the security of the country.

Appeal to immediately delete fabricated and misleading speeches

In the petition, strong questions have been raised not only on technology but also on the accountability of internet and social media companies. Raghav Chadha has demanded that the fabricated, distorted speeches of politicians and eminent citizens and misleading digital content available on social media platforms that mislead people should be immediately identified and deleted.

He argues that such misleading videos and speeches set a wrong narrative in the society, causing irreparable damage to the personal reputation of any person. Now the eyes of the entire country are fixed on the hearing to be held today in the Delhi High Court on this very serious matter related to the fundamental rights of the citizens.
