Patna. People troubled by the scorching heat in Bihar now seem to be getting some relief. East wind and partial clouds have changed the mood of the weather. According to Meteorological Center Patna, this change has occurred due to the trough passing through eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and northern parts of Ganga in West Bengal.
Weather will remain normal till May 2, relief from heat continues
According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any major change in the state till May 2. During this period, conditions of thunder, lightning and storm water will prevail at different places, due to which the temperature will fall further and people will get relief from the heat. The temperature is likely to drop further by about three degrees Celsius in the next three to four days.
Thunderstorm and storm warning in 12 districts of North Bihar
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert regarding thunder, lightning and storm water in 12 districts of North Bihar. Whereas, hot days are predicted in Kaimur, Rohtas, Bhojpur, Aurangabad and Gayaji. In Supaul the wind speed was recorded up to 48 kilometers per hour.
Temperature dropped in 17 districts, Kaimur hottest
On Monday, a decline was recorded in the maximum temperature of 17 districts including Patna. Patna’s maximum temperature dropped by 1.4 degrees Celsius to 33.0 degrees Celsius, while Kaimur’s Bhabhua recorded the highest temperature of 41.4 degrees Celsius. Gayaji was the hottest among major cities at 38.4 degrees while Muzaffarpur recorded a maximum of 29.4 degrees.
Highest rainfall of 48 mm in Kishanganj, rainfall in many districts
In the last 24 hours, the maximum rainfall of 48.2 mm was recorded at Dighalbank in Kishanganj. Apart from this, there was 35.6 mm rainfall in Amour of Purnia, 26.4 mm in Forbesganj, 19.8 mm in Supaul, 19.6 mm in Katihar and 17.4 mm in Araria. The weather remained pleasant in the capital Patna due to partial clouds and easterly wind.
