‘Research Park’ in IIT Patna: Golden path will open for startups
The Cabinet has approved the construction of a Research Park at Patna IIT campus to enhance ‘Academic-Industry’ synergy. The government has allocated a huge budget for this project. The main objective of this park is to provide research opportunities to local talents and encourage startup culture. Here scientists and entrepreneurs will be able to work together on future technologies, which will also create new investment opportunities in Bihar.
Forensic Lab in Punpun: Will speed up investigation of crimes
A new Regional Forensic Science Laboratory will be established at Punpun (Patna) to make the law and order and justice process more accurate in the state. Often court proceedings get prolonged due to delay in forensic reports, but with the construction of a lab in Punpun, reports of cases like DNA test, ballistic investigation and cyber forensics will be available soon. This will provide great help to the police in punishing criminals.
Open treasury for roads and health services also
Apart from research and forensic labs, the cabinet has also approved several other schemes:
Road construction: New projects have been approved to connect roads in rural areas with main roads.
health facility: The budget has been passed for the purchase of medical equipment and deployment of doctors in district hospitals.
education field: Funds have also been allocated for educational improvement and development of infrastructure in the universities of the state.
Samrat Chaudhary’s vision: Step towards developed Bihar
Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary said after the meeting that the government’s aim is to develop Bihar as a ‘knowledge economy’. The Research Park in IIT will give an opportunity to the youth to do high level research while staying in the state, which will stop the ‘brain drain’. It is clear from these cabinet decisions that the government is keeping education, technology and security at the top of its priority list.
