This amount has been allocated by Keshav Prasad Maurya for a total of 499 honorable members of both the houses of the Legislative Assembly (Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council). The first installment of a total of ₹ 100,000.00 lakh (10 billion rupees) at the rate of ₹ 250.00 lakh per member is proposed for the currently serving 400 members (03 seats vacant) against the total 403 members of the Legislative Assembly. Against the 100 members of the Legislative Council, the amount for the currently serving 99 members (01 seat is vacant) is ₹ 250.00 lakh per member. In the Budget for the financial year 2026-27, an annual provision of ₹ 500.00 lakh (Rs 5 crore) per member has been made for development in the constituencies of the members of both the Houses. According to the guidelines, 50 percent of this total amount (₹ 2.50 crore) was approved as the first installment amounting to approximately ₹ 1,24,750.00 lakh (₹ 1247.50 crore).

Shri Maurya ji instructed the officials that the sanctioned amount should be used on priority basis in public utility works related to roads, drinking water, drains, community buildings, education and health, so that the common people can get direct benefits.

He said that the state government is giving top priority to works of public interest and with the cooperation of public representatives, new momentum is being given to development works in the villages and cities of the state. With this initiative, it will be possible to quickly implement development plans at the local level and there will be a positive change in the standard of living of common citizens.
