News India Live, Digital Desk: After the declaration of class 10th and 12th results by Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE), there is now a stir among those students whose marks are less than expected or who could not succeed in one or two subjects. The board has made it clear that students do not need to be disappointed if the results are low. Madhya Pradesh government’s ‘Ruk Jana Nahi’ scheme and the board’s ‘Grace Marks’ rules can prove to be a lifesaver for such students. Let us know what is the marking formula of MP Board and what are your options in case of failure.
Grace Marks’ Mathematics: This is how she passes the board.
According to the rules of MP Board, if a student lags behind the passing marks in any one subject by just a few marks, then the board declares him successful by giving ‘grace marks’ (Kripank). Generally, grace up to 5 marks can be given. This rule is a lifesaver for those students who are failing by just 1 or 2 marks. However, this benefit is limited to only one or two subjects and its information is recorded in the student’s mark sheet.
‘Ruk Jana Nahi’ scheme: Golden opportunity to save the year
Madhya Pradesh government’s ‘Ruk Jana Nahi’ scheme is the biggest support for students who fail in more than two subjects. Under this scheme, failed students can proceed in the same academic session by taking the exam again.
Who will get the chance: Those students who have failed in the main examination.
Benefit: You don’t have to waste years. If you pass this exam, you can take admission in college or next class.
Application: After the release of the result, forms for this are filled on the official portal.
Benefit of ‘Best of Five’ and option of supplementary
‘Best of Five’ method is applicable for class 10th students, in which the result is prepared on the basis of marks of main 5 out of 6 subjects. Even if you fail in one subject and pass in the remaining 5, you will be considered passed. At the same time, for 12th class students, if they have failed in a subject, they get a chance to give ‘Supplementary’ (supplementary examination). For this, the board issues notification immediately after the result.
Re-checking and scrutiny of copies
If you feel that your marks are not in line with your hard work, you can apply for ‘Re-checking’ or ‘Re-valuation’. For this a fixed fee has to be paid per subject. The board recalculates the marks of your answer sheets and if any mistake is found, your marks are increased.
