Another attempt to eradicate Naxalism in Jharkhand, now these 3 big faces are not in good health, the government has put a reward of Rs 1 lakh on each of them.

News India Live, Digital Desk: Jharkhand has had to grapple with the ravages of Naxalism for a long time. However, in the last few years, the security arrangements here and the alertness of the security forces have restored peace to a great extent, but there are still some ‘faces of fear’ which remain a hindrance between development and peace. According to a recent and big report today i.e. 2 January 2026, the Jharkhand government has now tightened its policy and announced rewards on 3 prominent Naxalites.

It has been made clear by the administration that now there will be an attack on the identity of those people who spread unrest by hiding in remote areas of the state. The police have fixed a reward of ₹ 1 lakh per Naxalite for the arrest of these three wanted Naxalites or those who provide concrete information about them.

Who are these 3 faces on the police radar?
It is often seen that the police needs a lot of ground information and public cooperation to catch a big criminal. Many serious criminal cases have been registered against these Naxalites for years – like extortion, intimidation and attacks on police parties. The administration hopes that the news of getting a reward of ₹ 1 lakh will strengthen the intelligence network and people will also take more interest than before in sharing information.

Promise of protection of informers
There is always a fear that if a common citizen gives information, his life may be in danger. To allay this fear, Jharkhand Police has again reiterated that the name and identity of the person giving information will be kept completely secret. This means that now the ground is going to slip directly under the ‘floor’ of those Naxalites who have been escaping under the cover of forests.

Not only arrest, there is also scope for surrender.
It is also clearly visible in the police strategy that it wants these misguided people to leave violence and return to the mainstream. Announcing the reward is the police’s way of exerting pressure so that these criminals become weak. When their companions or people around them come to know that there is a reward on them, it will become even more difficult for them to escape.

The way the wind of development is blowing in Jharkhand at present, this step of the government is a clear message that there is no place left for those who commit violence. Now it remains to be seen how many days these wanted faces come into the custody of the police after the reward is announced.
