News India Live, Digital Desk: After the crushing defeat of Prashant Kishor’s party ‘Jan Suraj’ in the Bihar Assembly elections, he has finally broken his silence. Admitting the failure of not winning even a single seat in the elections, Prashant Kishore said that he himself takes 100 percent responsibility for this defeat. Talking to journalists in Patna, he said that he failed to explain to the people of Bihar why and on what basis they should vote.
Will keep a one day silent fast in Gandhi Ashram
To repent for his failure, Prashant Kishore has announced to observe a one-day silent fast on November 20 at the Gandhi Ashram in Bhitiharwa, West Champaran. He said, “This is a time for me to introspect and learn from my mistakes.”
“Not leaving Bihar” – Resolve to continue the fight ahead
Despite the forfeiture of deposits of 98% of ‘Jan Suraj’ candidates in the elections, Prashant Kishore has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving Bihar. He said, “Those who are thinking that I will run away from Patna or Bihar after the defeat are mistaken. I will stay here and will work with double the strength. Our aim is to change the system in Bihar, and this fight will continue.”
What did PK say on Nitish Kumar?
During this time, when he was asked about Nitish Kumar, he clarified that he never called Nitish personally corrupt. He said, “My fight is not against any individual, but against the system that has been running in Bihar for the last 30-35 years which is based on casteism and corruption.”
It is clear from this statement of Prashant Kishor that despite the big defeat in the electoral field, he has not lost courage yet and will continue to struggle to make his place in the politics of Bihar.
