Electric cars of Mahindra, Tata and Maruti will be launched soon, know the features and price.

The popularity of electric cars in India has increased rapidly in the last 2 years. In 2025, more than 1 lakh electric vehicles were registered between April and October alone, almost double the number of the previous year. These figures clearly show that Indian consumers now have more confidence in electric vehicles. This change is happening even faster due to the expanding charging network, better battery technology and the government’s EV policy.

Major auto companies like Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors and Mahindra are preparing to launch their next generation electric SUV. Maruti e-Vitara, Tata Sierra EV and Mahindra XEV 9S are set to enter the Indian market in the coming months.

Maruti Suzuki E-Vitara

Maruti Suzuki will launch its first electric SUV e-Vitara in India on December 2, 2025.
This SUV will have two battery pack options, 49 kWh and 61 kWh.

The larger battery pack will also have dual motors and AWD system, which will improve both performance and stability. The company claims that the e-Vitara will be able to give a range of more than 500 kilometers once fully charged. This range will take it at par with or even ahead of the Tata Nexon EV, MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona.

Tata Sierra EV

Tata Motors will launch the electric version of its iconic SUV Sierra by the end of 2025. Its official unveiling will take place on November 25, 2025. Sierra EV will have the same powertrain setup as Harrier EV. There will be two battery packs, 65 kWh and 75 kWh, available.

Mahindra will launch its premium electric SUV XEV 9S in India on 27 November 2025. This SUV is based on the XEV 9e platform and is considered to be the most advanced model of the company in terms of technology, design and features.
