News India Live, Digital Desk: As the investigation into the car blast near Delhi’s historic Red Fort is progressing, surprising things are coming to light. Now a new twist has come in this case, which has raised many big questions before the investigating agencies. The investigation team has found three 9mm cartridges from the blast site, out of which two are live and one is spent.

This is a big deal because 9mm cartridges are usually used by security forces or police and their use is prohibited for common people. The most shocking thing is that no pistol or weapon has been found from the spot. Now the agencies are trying to solve the mystery of how these cartridges reached the blast site.

What is the whole matter?

On the evening of 10 November 2025, the Red Fort area of Delhi was shaken by a loud explosion. 13 people lost their lives and more than 20 were injured in this blast that took place in a moving car. Since the incident, Delhi Police’s Special Cell, National Investigation Agency (NIA) and other security agencies are involved in the investigation. The government has declared it a terrorist attack.

What has come to light so far in the investigation?

Investigation has revealed that the car in which the blast occurred was being driven by Dr. Umar Nabi, a resident of Pulwama, who has been identified through DNA samples. In this case, a “white collar” terror module of educated people is suspected to be involved, in which several doctors are also involved. The scope of the investigation is spread from Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh to Jammu and Kashmir and many arrests have also been made.

Big questions raised after finding cartridges

The investigation team is now trying to find out:

  • Do these cartridges have any direct connection with the blast?
  • If there was any weapon in the car, where did it go after the blast?
  • Did the attacker have any other plan?

The police have tallied the ammunition of all its soldiers present at the spot, but no one was found short of cartridges. This has deepened the question as to whose cartridges these belonged to and how they reached here. This case is no longer limited to the investigation of just one blast, but exposing the bigger conspiracy behind it has become a big challenge for the agencies.
