News India Live, Digital Desk: A major action was seen in Pulwama area of Kashmir early this morning. Here the authorities have demolished the illegally built house of a major culprit of the Red Fort blast, named Dr. Omar Nabi. This action is a great example of the government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism.
The incident is about 24 years old, when in the year 2000 there was a terrorist attack on the Red Fort of Delhi. This attack shook the entire country. Dr. Umar Nabi was a main accused in this attack and was associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Since then he was the target of security agencies.
How did this action happen?
The administration had received information that Dr. Umar Nabi had built a two-storey house by occupying government land in Lelhar area of Pulwama. This was completely illegal. The officials first conducted a thorough investigation and when it was confirmed that the construction was illegal, it was decided to demolish it.
This morning, bulldozers and police teams reached the spot and within a few hours the entire house was razed to the ground. The purpose of this action is not only to remove an illegal construction, but also to give a strong message to the people associated with terrorism that now any illegal act of theirs will not be tolerated.
In Kashmir, the crackdown is continuously being tightened on those people who support terrorism in any way or are involved in illegal activities. This step is a part of that series. This clearly shows that now there is no place for terror and its supporters. Local people have also supported this action, as everyone now wants peace and security in the valley.
