News India Live, Digital Desk: On Monday evening, there was a panic break in the pace of Delhi when a moving car suddenly turned into a ball of fire on a road jam-packed with vehicles near the Red Fort. This was not an ordinary incident, but a well-planned terrorist conspiracy, which the government has termed a “despicable terrorist incident”. At least 12 people lost their lives and more than 20 were seriously injured in this tragic attack. The investigation of the case has now been taken over by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), and as the investigation is progressing, the horrifying conspiracy of a “white-collar” terrorist module consisting of educated doctors is coming to light to the world.

That scene of doomsday on the middle of the road

At around 7 pm on Monday evening, when the traffic was moving slowly on Netaji Subhash Marg near the Red Fort, a powerful explosion occurred in a white Hyundai i20 car. The explosion was so powerful that the car was blown to pieces and the flames engulfed many vehicles, auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws running nearby. There was a scene of devastation all around and the screams of the injured had shaken the entire area.

Attack mastermind: healer or killer?

The revelations that came after forensic investigation and DNA test have shocked everyone. The person who carried out this suicide attack was none other than Umar Un Nabi, a doctor resident of Pulwama. Omar, once considered a promising student, was an assistant professor at Al-Falah Medical College, Faridabad. The DNA sample of the human remains found by the investigating agencies from the car matched with the DNA of Omar’s mother, making it clear that he was present in the car at the time of the blast.

‘Faridabad module’ of educated terrorists

This attack was not the work of a single madman, rather a whole terrorist network of educated professionals was working behind it. The investigating agencies are naming it “Faridabad Module”. This module included many other doctors like Omar who were victims of online radicalization and were connected to each other through encrypted channels like Telegram. This module has links with terrorist organizations like Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH).

Attacked due to fear of arrest

Just hours before the Delhi blast, security agencies had busted the same module in Faridabad, arrested eight people and recovered around 2,900 kg of explosives and weapons. Intelligence sources believe that Umar got scared due to the arrest of his associates and felt that now he too would be caught. Due to this fear, he carried out this suicide attack in a hurry.

Government stands with the victims, investigation continues

After this terrorist attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah have held high-level security meetings and given strict instructions to the agencies to arrest every culprit. The Prime Minister also went to the hospital and met some of the injured. Delhi government has also announced compensation for the victims. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each will be given to the families of the deceased, Rs 5 lakh to the permanently disabled and Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured. The investigation by NIA is going on fast and every person associated with this network is being searched so that the country can be saved from such wounds in future.
