News India Live, Digital Desk: Often when schools are closed in the middle of the month due to festivals or any special reason, both children and parents want to know in advance so that they can plan their day. Now the question is 7 November 2025, i.e. Friday Will schools remain closed?

Let us tell you that there is no national holiday on 7th November, hence schools in most of the states of the country will remain open like normal days. However, in some states, holidays may be declared in view of local festivals and changing weather patterns.

Where can schools remain closed?

  • Meghalaya: If you live in Meghalaya, your children’s schools may remain closed on 7th November. ‘Wangala Festival’ is celebrated here on this day, which is a major festival of the Garo tribe. There is every possibility of a holiday in schools on the occasion of this festival, especially in Shillong and surrounding areas.
  • Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh: The effect of monsoon and cyclones can be seen in these states of South India. In view of the possibility of heavy rains, the local district administration may declare holiday in schools in some districts of these states. If the weather is very bad then this leave can be extended further.

Schools will remain open in these big states

Schools in the rest of the country will function as normal on Friday:

  • Delhi-NCR: All government and private schools in Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad and Ghaziabad will remain open on November 7.
  • Uttar Pradesh: All schools in the state will open normally. Only in Anupshahr of Bulandshahr district there were holidays from 3rd to 6th November due to ‘Kartik Purnima Ganga Snan Mela’, but there too schools will reopen from 7th.
  • Bihar, Punjab, Haryana: In these states, after the holidays of Guru Nanak Jayanti (5 November) and election (6 November), schools will open completely and studies will take place on 7 November.
  • Telangana: After the holidays caused by cyclone ‘Montha’, now all the schools in Telangana are also opening regularly. However, any decision can be taken at the district level considering the local weather.
