People of UP, take out the quilts and blankets! Attack of ‘dual winds’ will increase cold and fog rapidly

The weather has changed rapidly in Uttar Pradesh. If you too are feeling slight heat during the day and sudden shivering at night, then know that this is just a trailer, the real cold is yet to come. The Meteorological Department has made it clear that the mercury will fall further in the coming days and by the end of November it will start getting extremely cold.

Why has it suddenly become so cold?

This time the reason behind the increase in cold in UP is the game of ‘double winds’. Understand this in simple language:

1. Westerly winds (cold wind): These winds are coming from the north-west i.e. from the mountains. They are bringing with them icy coldness, due to which the night temperature is falling rapidly.
2. Purva winds (moist wind): These winds are coming from the Bay of Bengal and have plenty of moisture.

When these two winds meet over UP, the cold air drops the temperature and the moist air works to form dense fog. This is why the nights have suddenly become so cold.

Now get ready for the fog

Meteorologists say that the amount of moisture in the air has reached 80 to 90 percent, which is the perfect condition for fog to form. As November progresses, there will be dense fog in the morning and evening, which can make driving on the roads difficult.

How cold will it be?

It is estimated that by the end of November the day temperature will go below 25 degrees and the night temperature may reach 15 degrees. This means that now you will feel slight cold even during the day and the nights will become very cold.

As snowfall increases on the mountains, the cold winds coming from there will cool the plains of UP even more. Therefore, take care of your health and make full preparations to avoid cold.
