News India Live, Digital Desk: India Pakistan cricket : The rivalry between India and Pakistan on the cricket field is well known, but in the world of sports there are some moments which connect hearts across the borders. One such heart-touching video is going viral on social media, in which a Pakistani fan is singing the Indian national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with full respect while celebrating the Indian women’s cricket team’s World Cup victory.

What is in this viral video?

This video is from the World Cup final match between the Indian women’s cricket team and South Africa. In the video, a man wearing a Pakistan cricket team jersey, believed to be Arshad Muhammad, is watching the match on TV with his family. As the national anthem plays after India’s victory, Arshad, along with a girl and another man present with him, all stand up and sing ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with full respect.

Arshad himself shared this video on his Instagram and wrote, “Many congratulations to Team India on becoming Women’s ODI World Cup champion! Lots of best wishes and love from Pakistan.”

People showered love on social media

This video went viral within a few hours and cricket fans of both the countries showered a lot of love on it. Indian fans praised this sportsmanship a lot. One user wrote, “Brother why are you winning hearts?” While another commented, “We should respect all religions and countries. Jai Hind, Jai Bharat.”

Many people called it a victory of love over hatred and said that such moments prove that cricket is not just a game but also a medium to connect hearts.

This is not the first time that a Pakistani fan has won hearts by singing the Indian national anthem. Even before this, during the 2018 Asia Cup, a similar video of a Pakistani fan Adil Taj had gone viral.

This incident shows that despite political tensions, respect and love for each other exists in the hearts of common people of both the countries, and sports like cricket further strengthen this feeling.
