News India Live, Digital Desk: Railway Doubling Project: There is a very good news for millions of people traveling by train via Dumka, Bhagalpur and Rampurhat. The wait for years is going to end now and the process of converting this entire rail section into double line has been started. After the completion of this project, not only the travel time will be half, but will also get rid of the problem of trains late.

What is this entire project?

This project is in two parts. The first, railway line from Dumka to Rampurhat (62.72 km) and second, the railway line from Bhagalpur to Mandarhil to Banka (49.60 km) will be doubled. So far this entire route is of single line.

Due to the single line, only one train can pass through a time. If another train is coming from the front, then a train has to stop at a station and wait for hours. For this reason, trains are often late on this route and the journey takes more time.

How did the work move forward?

For this important project, Eastern Railway has approved the final location survey (FLS). This is the first and most important step to start any rail project. In this survey, it is seen where the new line will pass, where will the bridge become and what is the status of the land. The work of land acquisition and track laying will be started only after the completion of this survey.

It is believed that Godda MP Nishikant Dubey was constantly making efforts for this project, after which the Railways has flagged off this survey.

What will be the benefit of the common man?

1. Time savings: The biggest benefit will be time. The journey which is still 3 hours can be completed in one and a half hours.
2. Trains will not be late: Trains will not have to stand at stations for crossing, so that trains will run on time.

5. Business benefits: Trade and freight between these areas of Jharkhand and Bihar will also intensify.

Even though it may take a few years for the entire project to be completed, it is a big win to get the survey approval. This will open new avenues of development for millions of people of this area.
