A major step has been taken for controlling growing traffic and better connectivity in Indore city.
A 160 km long outer ring road is being built in the city, which will be developed in two phases in the form of Eastern and Western Ring Road. It is planned to construct 100 km long new roads to ensure easy access from inside the city to this ring road.

100 km roads will be built at a cost of 1000 crores

Indore Development Authority (IDA) has prepared a proposal for 10 new roads under the master plan, whose total length will be 100 km and it is estimated at Rs 1000 crore.
In this regard, a meeting was held on Friday under the chairmanship of MP Shankar Lalwani and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, in which the proposed projects were reviewed.

City traffic will be organized

According to Chief Executive Officer RP Ahirwar, the construction of these new roads of the master plan will make Indore’s traffic more organized and smooth.
NHAI Project Director Sumesh Banjhal, city and village investment joint director Shubhashish Banerjee and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.

Master Plan roads will be connected to Outer Ring Road

It was also decided in the meeting that under the master plan, the major roads of the city-from MR-3 to MR-12-will be connected to the outer ring road directly to the Outer Ring Road.
This will ensure fast and easy connectivity from different areas of the city to outer ring road.
