America charged 4 countries up to 3,521 percent

Under the trade war launched by US President Donald Trump, the US administration has imposed a fee of up to 3,521 percent on the import of solar equipment from four Southeast Asian countries.

Earlier, these imports were investigated by the US Anti-Dumping Department, which revealed that solar equipment manufacturers of four countries-Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand-were illegally taking advantage of subsidy given by China for such products and dumping cheap equipment by exporting these products. This has threatened the interests of American domestic producers. This will be in addition to the 10 percent baseline tariff imposed by the US President, which will be a fee of up to 3,521 percent. American solar power manufacturers have complained that Chinese companies make equipment in these four countries and then artificially sell these devices, such as solar cells and panels, in the US at low prices. It is noteworthy that Donald Trump was imposed duty on imported solar equipment during the first term of Donald Trump. To avoid this fee, Chinese manufacturing companies set up production plants in these four countries and were also getting subsidy from the Chinese government for this production. The US on Monday announced that it has imposed a maximum of 3,521 percent fee on the import of solar equipment from Cambodia, the reason behind which the Cambodian companies have refused to cooperate in the investigation. 395.9 percent duty has been imposed on imports from Vietnam and 375.2 percent on imports from Thailand. The lowest 34.4 percent fee is levied on Malaysia. It is noteworthy that last year, the US imported a total of $ 12.9 billion equipment from four countries – Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and Thailand.

Increase in the price of Indian solar power manufacturing companies

After the US announced a fee of 3,521 percent on the import of solar equipment from four southeastern Asian countries, shares of Indian solar equipment manufacturing companies rose by 8 percent today. There was a significant increase in shares of companies such as Vary Energy and Premier Energy and it closed with an increase of 8.22 percent and 1.64 percent respectively. Last year, the US imported more than $ 12 billion from these four countries. Therefore, now Indian companies are likely to benefit.
