According to the Meteorological Department, there will be dense fog in Delhi today and the minimum temperature will be 8 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature will be 17 degrees Celsius. Cold may increase in Delhi in the coming days. It is expected to be extremely cold in January. The department also said that the effect of western disturbance can be seen in Delhi by the end of the week, due to which there may be light rain in many areas. During this period the minimum temperature may also increase.

Snowfall in Himachal from 4 to 7 January

 

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of snowfall in Himachal from January 4 to 7 and heavy rain on January 5 and 6. Apart from Himachal, there is a possibility of heavy snowfall in various areas especially Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad on January 5. Also, there is a possibility of light rain in the northern plains including Delhi during January 4 to 6.

According to private weather forecasting agency Skymet, parts of the Western Himalayas may receive light to moderate rain and snowfall today. Light rain may occur at isolated places along Tamil Nadu coast. Dense to very dense fog may occur in some parts of Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan. There may be a slight increase in minimum temperatures in north-west India.
