Asif Nazrul, legal advisor to the interim government of Bangladesh, has objected to a social media post of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of Vijay Diwas (16 December). He wrote on social media, ’16 December 1971 was the victory day of Bangladesh. India was a participant in this, nothing more than that.

He wrote on Facebook, ‘I strongly oppose PM Modi’s post. 16 December 1971 was the victory day of Bangladesh. India was a partner in this victory, nothing more than that.
