India loses to Australia 4-6 in FIH Pro-League men's hockey

Despite captain Harmanpreet Singh scoring two goals, India lost 4-6 to Australia in the FIH Pro-League Hockey. The Australian team snatched the match from India by scoring three goals in the last quarter. Harmanpreet scored for India through penalty corner in the 12th and 20th minutes. Field goals by Sukhjit Singh in the 18th minute and Mandeep Singh in the 29th minute gave India a 4-2 lead, but the situation changed in the last quarter.

For Australia, Blake Govers scored two goals in the second minute. Aaron Zalewski scored a penalty corner in the 40th minute, Lachlan Sharp scored in the 52nd minute, Jacob Anderson scored in the 55th minute, and Jack Welch scored a field goal in the 58th minute. After scoring two goals in the first 10 minutes, Australia got another penalty corner but their attempt was thwarted by the Indian defence. India got its first penalty corner in the 12th minute which was converted by Harmanpreet. After this, India dominated the match till the last quarter.
