Raipur, 6 December (HIST).Raipur, 6 December (HIST). State General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sanjay Srivastava has said that today the Congressmen who are roaming around the country making noise in the name of saving the Constitution, the truth of their political character is that they have kept the Constitution in mind on every occasion and only for political opposition. Therefore, there was no hesitation in arbitrarily dismissing the BJP and other non-Congress governments. On December 06, 1992, Shri Srivastava made a scathing attack on Congress for bleeding the country’s Constitution and democracy.

BJP State General Secretary said in a press conference held at the BJP office located at Ekatm Complex on Friday that the shamelessness with which the Congress is invoking the Constitution and democracy today, has, on the one hand, been destroying the constitutional structure and is pursuing communal appeasement the most. A dirty example was set and democracy was ruined by dismissing four other democratically elected BJP state governments of Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh overnight. Even committed open murder, which was later declared illegal by the Jabalpur High Court. However, by the time the decision was taken, the tenure of the Assembly had also ended.

BJP State General Secretary Shri Srivastava said that what is even more shameful is that on December 7, 1992, the day after the demolition of Babri structure, the then Prime Minister P.V. Narasimha Rao had said in Parliament that ‘demolishing the mosque was a barbaric act, our government will get it rebuilt.’ This was completely contrary to the spirit of the Constitution. Shri Srivastava said that Congress has promised to build a mosque at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site. On this very day, after the collapse of the controversial structure in Shri Ayodhyaji, the Congress had without any reason demolished the non-controversial structure of the Constitution by dismissing three other BJP governments apart from Uttar Pradesh.

BJP State General Secretary Srivastava said that the fact is that till date Congress has not withdrawn that statement and has not even apologized to the country for it. This is the same promise as the Congress-led Indi alliance’s promise to reinstate Article 370. Shri Srivastava said that the fact is shouting that Congress is committed to both these promises. Just waiting for the time. The country should always remember such grossly unconstitutional and undemocratic acts of Congress and its political character and history full of communal appeasement.

During this, state media in-charge Amit Chimnani, co-in-charge Anurag Aggarwal, state spokesperson Amarjeet Chhabra, media panelist Sunil Chaudhary, Ravindra Singh were present.
