Expressing concern over the atrocities on minority Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Sikh and Christian communities in Bangladesh, the memorandum was submitted after a protest under the banner of Sanatan Chetna Manch in Chhatarpur on Wednesday. A protest was held at the fair ground of the district headquarters. During this, the speakers addressed the public and called for unity. After the dharna, people reached the collector’s office from Chhatrasal Chowk via Chaubey Tiraha, shouting slogans in the form of a rally. In the memorandum sent to the President, it was said that the atrocities on Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities in Bangladesh are worrisome. This is not only a violation of human rights. Rather, our common cultural and religious values ​​are also being hurt by this atrocities. At the time of independence, there were 22 percent Hindus in Bangladesh. But due to torture this number has now come down to only 7.9 percent. It was told that after the violence that spread on August 5, Hindu, Buddhist and Christian communities are being targeted in killings in Bangladesh. Young daughters are being tortured while houses are being looted. Through the memorandum, Sanatan Chetna Manch has requested that the Government of India should immediately take concrete steps by positively intervening on this serious issue. So that the minority community in Bangladesh can get security.
