Lucknow, 04 December (HS). On Tuesday night, two miscreants who were absconding in the case of purse robbery from the inspector’s daughter in Vikas Nagar police station area, had an encounter with the police. Both the accused are real brothers.
ADCP Jitendra Dubey said that police teams were busy searching for the absconding robbers in the purse robbery case. Their location was cordoned off on Tuesday night and both the miscreants were arrested from different places. During police interrogation, the accused revealed their names as Snehil Srivastava and Apoorva Srivastava, residents of Talkatora police station area, and said that both are real brothers. On their information, the police took them to a place to recover the looted goods in the night itself. A miscreant fired from a pistol hidden among the goods. The police responded by firing in defence. Both the miscreants have been arrested. The looted goods and the bike from which the robbery was committed have also been recovered. The miscreants have suffered minor injuries.
