The prize money of Ranji Trophy was also increased in this series. Earlier, the winner of Ranji Trophy got Rs 2 crore and the runner-up got Rs 1 crore. Now this amount has more than doubled.

Fees were also increased
Not only this, the fees of cricketers playing in Ranji Trophy have also increased. In this, every player gets fees according to his experience. Players' fees now range from 40 to 60 thousand rupees per day. Not only this, the players who are in the team but are not part of the playing 11 are also given a daily fee of around Rs 25 thousand.
BCCI's new plan for test cricket
Recently the Indian Cricket Board has implemented a new scheme for Indian cricketers. This was an incentive scheme and the board announced a reward for every player who appeared in 50 percent or more of the Test matches in a year. According to this, players can earn crores of rupees in a year by playing test matches. Whereas the test match fee is Rs 15 lakh.
If a player plays 10 test matches in a year, he will get Rs 1.5 crore as match fee. Whereas as per the incentive of Rs 45 lakh per match, under this scheme the player will get Rs 4.5 crore for 10 matches. That means if a player plays Test continuously then he can earn crores of rupees.
