Controversy over bursting of firecrackers in Ashram Damakheda, eleven accused arrested

Balodabazar/Raipur, 2 November (HS). A big controversy broke out last night amid Diwali celebrations under Simga police station of Balodabazar district over bursting of firecrackers at Damakheda, the ashram of Kabir Panth's Guru Prakash Muni Saheb. During this, miscreants threw bombs and pelted stones inside the ashram. Seeing the seriousness of the incident, Home Minister Vijay Sharma and former MLA Shivratan Sharma reached the ashram in the night itself and took stock of the situation. The police took immediate action in this case and arrested 11 accused. Interrogation of all the accused is going on. For security reasons, heavy police force has been deployed at Damakheda Ashram.

According to information received from the police, at around 09:45 pm on November 1, some accused, including Durgesh Dewangan and Pratap Sahu, forcefully entered the ashram with sticks, sticks and bombs and firecrackers. It is alleged that he threatened to kill, used obscene abuses and threw a bomb and firecracker. Along with this, stone pelting was also done.

After this incident that took place in Simga police station area, the police have registered a case and arrested 11 accused so far. At present, police force has been deployed at Damakheda Ashram for security purposes and the situation is under control. The police is investigating the matter

According to the information received, on the complaint of Prakash Muni ji, the police has registered an FIR against Damakheda's sarpanch husband and other people. While 11 people have been arrested and are being interrogated, the Sarpanch's husband has absconded after the incident. Sarpanch Pati had earlier also been accused of embezzling Rs 10 lakh given by the Culture Department for the fair. In this case, the then CEO and Sarpanch of District Panchayat Simga and his associates were arrested. Since then there was a situation of controversy.

Additional SP Aishwarya Chandrakar said that after the incident, police force has been deployed for security and 11 people have been detained. Right now the situation is peaceful and under control.
