Mirzapur, March 12 (Hindustan Reporter) On Tuesday, Director General Namami Gange Brijendra Swaroop visited the district and inspected the progress of the works going on under the Municipality under the Namami Gange Project. On reaching Fataha to inspect the STP work under construction, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan welcomed and congratulated him and gave information about the works to be done in the district.
The District Magistrate proposed to stop the erosion of Ganga river by the STP project Fatahan under construction on the banks of Ganga and to build a big drain for drainage in the city. The Director General directed the Chief Engineer Jal Jeevan Mission Rural to conduct a survey and submit the proposal. Before this, the Director General reached Vindhyachal and worshiped Maa Vindhyavasini. Then inspected other works including STP located at Pakka Pokhara.
During this, Additional District Magistrate Namami Gange Devendra Pratap Singh, Chief Engineer Uttar Pradesh Jal Nigam Rural Varanasi Project, team of engineers and third party NG engineer were present.
