Guangzhou, 26 October (Hindustan Reporter). Top seed Katarina Siniakova of Czech Republic has entered the semi-finals of the WTA Guangzhou Open here on Friday. In the quarterfinal match played on Friday, Siniakova entered the last four by defeating Pera Bernarda of the United States in straight sets.
Despite losing serve in the third game of the first set, Siniakova defeated Bernarda 6–4, 7–5 in a match that lasted one hour and 25 minutes to reach the semi-finals.
In the other three singles quarterfinals, Italy's Lucia Bronzetti defeated third-seeded Wang Xiyu of China 6-4, 6-1, Serbia's Olga Danilovic defeated Thailand's Mananchaya Sawangkaew 6-4, 6-4 and joint-1 Caroline Dolehide of the United States defeated Bujas Manero of Spain 6-4, 4-6, 6-0.
