Ranchi, 23 October (HS). The court of NIA Special Judge MK Verma on Wednesday rejected the bail plea of ​​Shankar Yadav, the henchman of notorious gangster Aman Sahu, arrested during the terror funding investigation, after hearing the case.

The NIA had arrested him on February 9 during the investigation of terror funding in the firing case at Tetriyakhad Colliery in Balumath, Latehar. After his arrest, he was brought to Ranchi on transit remand. Since then he is in jail. During the arrest, Rs 1 crore 30 lakh was also recovered from his hideout, which is said to be the money recovered from levy-extortion through Aman Sahu.

In the raid, NIA recovered five mobile phones, one hard disk, one rifle (30-06 bore) one magazine, one pistol (7.65 mm), two magazines and 63 cartridges of different bores. Some suspicious documents have also been found. The case registered on this incident on December 18, 2020 was taken over by the NIA on March 04, 2021. In this case, NIA has so far filed a charge sheet against a total of 29 accused.
